Need some reasons to buy a GOOD alarm? Here's a picture of my GMC Syclone when it was 4 mos. / 4k miles old. One week prior to this picture being taken, it was producing 12.5 timeslips, and was truly my only daily driver. One week LATER, I bought a beater car and decided to put 30k miles / year on something other than the SY. I have a good insurance company, but TWO thefts of the same vehicle would probably strain our relationship.... Note the absence of mega-buck wheel-well cladding after excessive 4-weelin'....Heck! Notice the absence of the megabuck wheels!. If you own a rare model of ANY vehicle, that you drive regularly, you may have a problem finding parts when the "popsicle-brained-punks" steal it, so be sure to install a good alarm...
They also got the radio, and beat up the cladding on all sides... The bill? a little over $11,000. The truck was missing for less than 8 hours! Talk about getting kicked when your down: I had to pay $90 for a parking ticket and towing. It seems the truck was parked illegally when Cleveland Police found it stripped! Would you really want it back? Before the theft, it turned 12.50s,.... . . after the theft....13.0s.
