I saw this ad in 1/92.  I was there in an hour.

Syclones & Typhoons are INCREDIBLE vehicles.   I took a brand new GMC Syclone  with 3,500 miles and minor mods to the drag strip.   This truck  *hauls*  in more ways than one.  Drag Racers, you won't believe these sixty-foot times on FACTORY TIRES!

    Best of First Week: car #832 (12.57 et)                                 Best of Second Week: car# 93 (12.49 et)

Mods: air filter removed, 160 thermostat, ATR race chip, unleaded Union 76 race gas, S-10 manual brake wheel cylinders and convertor lock-up switch.

USING UNLEADED GAS, THROUGH THE FACTORY EXHAUST (& catalyst) ON OEM TIRES,   These runs were made at two different tracks one, a week after the other.  The first week was opening day at Dragway 42, West Salem, OH.  The second was at Thompson D-Way, Thompson, OH. These were the best of over 35 RUNS in two days at the track.  Talk about fun to drive!


Monitoring Devices:  If you would like to DOWNLOAD files of computer data gathered  during a 12 second run, by an XT laptop running Diacom program, click on the file for Lotus, Dbase or Text versions.  The files are compressed and you'll need an "unzipping" utility like PKUNZIP v.204g or WinZIP.
